Historical Landmark Comes Down

White Haven Lodge has closed after 53 years!

I’m sad to report that the White Haven Motor Lodge has closed this week and will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The motel and its flashy iconic neon sign have been an eye-soar to visitors and residents for 53 years.

“Everything that can be auctioned. Wall to wall, inside and out. Everything that we can sell will be sold,” said Anne Smith of A. Smith Auction Group. “It’s a two-day auction. It’s going to be huge.”

The auction is set for early July.
